1. Gaskets can be divided into materials
Non-metallic gaskets: gaskets made of non-metal such as asbestos, rubber, synthetic resin, PTFE, etc.
Semi-metallic gaskets: Gaskets made of metal and non-metal materials, such as wound gaskets, metal-clad gaskets.
Metal Gasket: A gasket made of metal such as steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, or Monel.
Non-metallic gasket, soft texture, corrosion resistance, low price, but poor temperature and pressure resistance, and more commonly used in normal temperature and medium temperature of the low pressure container or pipe flange seal.
Semi-metallic gaskets have the advantages of non-metallic flexibility, compressibility and low bolt load capacity, as well as metal strength, resilience, and temperature resistance. Suitable for use under moderate temperature and other environments.
Metal gaskets are suitable for use under harsh operating conditions such as high temperature and high pressure and frequent load cycles.
